// The crew behind the finish

About us

20 years · Two trades

// Our story

Twenty years of hanging board.

Mendoza Rodriguez is a drywall and roofing contractor based in Lorain, Ohio. The name goes back twenty years, to a crew that hung board, taped seams and sanded joints until the wall read flat under a work light. The standard has not moved since.

  1. 01The boards

    Hang it straight. Tape it clean. Finish it flat.

    Drywall came first: hanging, taping and finishing, level by level, house by house across Lorain.

  2. 02The roof

    The same discipline climbed up the ladder.

    Roofing became the second trade: repairs, tear-offs and new shingle roofs, handled by the same hands that finish your walls.

  3. 03Today

    Two trades, one crew, one name on both.

    Today we answer for walls that hold a straight line and roofs that hold the weather out. And we still leave the jobsite clean.

// Straight answers

Before you call.

01Do you handle both drywall and roofing?

Yes. Drywall hanging, taping and finishing is our first trade, and roofing is our second. Repairs, tear-offs and full shingle replacements are done by the same crew, so one name answers for the whole job.

02What is a Level 5 finish, and do I need one?

Level 5 is the highest drywall finish: a full skim coat over the entire surface. It is the right call where raking light hits the wall, like hallways, cathedral ceilings and rooms with big windows. We will tell you honestly which level your job actually needs.

03Can you remove popcorn ceilings or match an existing texture?

Yes. We remove popcorn ceilings and leave the surface paint-ready, and we match knockdown, orange peel and other common textures so a repair blends into the wall around it.

04Do you take small repairs, or only full jobs?

Both. Patches, water damage, cracked seams and single-room jobs get the same finish standard as a whole house. On the roof, we handle small leak repairs as well as full replacements.

05What areas do you serve?

We are based at 4608 Gary Ave in Lorain, Ohio, and we work across Lorain and the surrounding communities.

06How do I get an estimate?

Call (440) 281-5292 or send the form on our contact page. We walk the job, measure it and give you a straight answer. The estimate is free.
